Saving Tracks:
Once you got your song loaded on the
computer and/or have applied proper changes to it, you should save it. You can
save it either on the Thomson server, in the file provided under your student
number, or, if you have one, on a floppy disk. Just remember though, that your
file won't be accessible to you everytime unless you bring your disk with you,
or decide to back it up by saving it in both of the above mentioned locations.
To save the file:
- Go to File and select "Save As".
- The following dialouge box will appear:
- On the pop-up menu on this box, go to Desktop and choose Student
Work Portfolio. You will not be able to do this if the Student Work
Portfolio is not displayed on the Desktop. To place it on the Desktop, you
need to have appropriate privileges given to you by your teacher, who will
assist you with further instructions.
- Select the folder under which your student number is saved (in this case
Info Lit & Tech Class), then locate your student number and open up
the folder.
- Locate the pop-up box placed just beside the File Format title.
Then change the format into a WAVE (otherwise the file will
not be played if you upload it on the Internet).
- Save your track under the appropriate sub-folder. Don't forget to
rename it first!
