Assignment
This is a short assignment that will teach
you how to use Sound Edit 16 in more depth. Please take some time and study it.
Apart from the fact that it's educational, it may also be fun, for you get to
play around with music and sound clips, and you can even change and edit your
favourite songs!
Part I
- Open up the Sound Edit 16 folder in the Hard Drive and click on the "Help"
folder.
- Once you have the pop-up box opened up, go to Sound Edit 16 Help.
- Go to Reference and read about the File, View, and
Window menu. You can also choose to read about any other menu(s),
depending on your area of interest or desired knowledge.
- When you are finished, EXIT from this section by clicking the "Topics"
button at the top left-hand side of the page.
- You will be taken back to the main "Sound Edit 16 Help
Contents" page. Now, click on the Sound Lab icon, and listen to
the different sound effects that you can create!
Part II
The second part of the
assignment deals with you creating a new track of your own by editing or
changing a part of the track, depending on where you think it will be
most appropriate or effective. Using different effects and the Insert
command, re-mix your track so that the changes are audiable when the song is
played. You can consider applying such effects as Fade In, Fade Out, Amplify,
Delay, Echo, or Emphasize.
Once you are finished, Save your track on the server under your
student number in the Info Tech folder, and you are ready to present it to
others!
