I wish I could write poetry

I wish I could write poetry
Like an ancient forgotten scholar
I wish I could write poetry
With words of wisdom of knowledge
I wish I could write poetry
Like a fairy tale into old books
I wish I could write poetry
With magic of thousand words

I wish I could write poetry
That would express my thoughts and feelings
The one with whom the passion in my heart
Would be reeling
The one that could bring out misery of an unprecedented soul
The one that would save my heart and mind from blows

I wish I could write poetry
Like magic of a summer night
When a deep blue sky of countless stars
Flickers with silver - shining light,
I wish I could write poetry
Like babbling of a forest brook
The one that on its pathway home
Through field of grass and stones with moss
Gives flowers their magic look
Like that of the autumn wind

Like that of the country - field
Which surrounded by green ambushes of forest trees
Gives protective thought of home.

I wish I could write poetry
That would express magic of a star, of a tear in the eye
Of a warming baby's smile
Of the beauty of the world, of the deepest sense of thought
Of the magic of a thousand-year old stone,
Of the love that haunts this world, of the misery that prevails your soul
Of the cries and screams of anxiety that echo through your veins
When hopelessness and despair attack your very soul that day.
